Comprehensive Psychological Assessments

Our assessments are respectful, collaborative, and grounded in clinical expertise.

We use standardized, evidence-based measures aligned with DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria and integrate multiple sources of information, including interviews, formal testing, questionnaires, behavioural observations, and consultation when appropriate.

Our goal is not simply to assign a diagnosis, but to provide clarity, direction, and practical recommendations that support real-world functioning at school, work, and home.

Our Areas of Assessment

Neurodiversity Assessments

Neurodivergence reflects natural differences in how the brain processes information, regulates attention, and experiences the world. We specialize in comprehensive evaluations that thoughtfully assess:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Learning Differences
  • Executive Functioning Challenges
  • Sensory Processing Differences

Our neurodiversity-focused approach emphasizes strengths alongside challenges and provides clear guidance for families, schools, and healthcare providers.

Psychoeducational Assessments

Psychoeducational assessments evaluate cognitive abilities, academic skills, memory, processing speed, and executive functioning to understand how an individual learns.

These assessments are often recommended when:

  • A student is struggling academically despite effort
  • There are concerns about dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia
  • School accommodations are being considered
  • Giftedness is suspected
  • Learning strengths and weaknesses need clarification

Our reports provide practical, school-ready recommendations and support collaboration with educators and physicians.

Mental Health & Diagnostic Assessments

We also provide comprehensive mental health and diagnostic clarification assessments for children, adolescents, and adults.

These evaluations may address concerns related to:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression and mood concerns
  • Obsessive-compulsive symptoms
  • Trauma-related difficulties
  • Emotional regulation challenges
  • Complex or overlapping presentations

Diagnostic clarification can guide treatment planning, workplace or post-secondary accommodations, and coordinated care with physicians or other healthcare providers.

Our Integrated Assessment Approach

Assessment should feel thoughtful and human — not intimidating.

Our clinicians:

  • Prioritize psychological safety and rapport
  • Consider family, cultural, school, and life context
  • Highlight strengths alongside areas of difficulty
  • Provide clear, practical recommendations
  • Offer collaborative consultation when needed

We believe clarity reduces stress. A comprehensive assessment can bring relief, direction, and confidence in next steps.

Who These Assessments Are For

Our services support:

  • Parents noticing attention, learning, or emotional concerns
  • Adults wondering about undiagnosed ADHD or autism
  • Students needing documentation for accommodations

It may include clinical interviews, standardized testing, questionnaires, and behavioural observations. The goal is to provide diagnostic clarity and practical recommendations.

An assessment may be helpful when concerns are affecting school, work, relationships, or daily functioning. It can also provide clarity when symptoms overlap (for example, ADHD and anxiety) or when accommodations are being considered.

We provide assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. The structure and testing approach are adapted to be developmentally appropriate.

The process typically includes an initial interview, testing sessions, questionnaires completed by relevant parties (such as parents or teachers when appropriate), scoring and interpretation, and a feedback meeting to review results and recommendations.

Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the referral question. Most comprehensive assessments involve multiple appointments over several weeks, followed by a detailed written report.
